About me

I studied homeopathy for four years at the Contemporary College of Homeopathy and gained a Licentiate qualification. I continued my education and was awarded an Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy. I have been qualified as a homeopath for over 10 years and formerly a registered nurse for 30 years, therefore holding a wealth of experience of working with people in orthodox and alternative medicine.  I am passionate about homeopathy and the benefits people can gain from it and continue to research and gain knowledge in this sphere of alternative medicine so that I can continue to give my clients the best advice.

I am able to use the skills and knowledge I have gained through working in orthodox medicine and apply that to my homeopathic practice. I have worked with hundreds of clients and have successfully prescribed remedies that have helped to improve their health. My experience in case taking helps me give appropriate advice that is individual and meets your particular needs. This may include lifestyle changes and general advice on health and wellbeing.

About Homeopathy

Homeopathy was discovered in the 18th century by a German medical doctor. He realised that there were two ways of treating illness, the way of opposites and the way of similars.

If you go to your doctor because you have acid indigestion your doctor may prescribe an antacid or a drug that reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces. This is the approach of opposites.

A Homeopath would try to find the remedy that would produce similar symptoms to that which you are experiencing and treat you with a minute dose of that substance. So when you hear a homeopath talk about the law of similars they are referring to treating like with like.
